Crafting & creating have always been something I enjoy and aspire to do - even from a very young age.

It is a peaceful experience and I want to bring this to others.

I have never been a big talker, therefore I have had so much room to focus on making things that I find beautiful. This includes anything from music to illustration, from photography to candle making.

That’s why From Yaya is designed to be a mix of all the things I love as self-expression and is my way of connecting to the world. For example, my candles are nested in handcrafted jars decorated with my original artwork which tells the story of each essential oil blend I formulated.

I started making these gifts for family and friends. When my partner had insomnia I made a candle for him that would help him sleep. When another friend of mine was studying I created a candle to help her think clearly.

Everybody kept telling me how much they loved my gifts and they persuaded me to start selling them. I find it difficult to share my vulnerable side so openly but luckily my partner is helping me with that side of the business while I can focus on creating more beautiful gifts.
