about Yaya.
We believe life is made up of little moments.
The feeling of sunlight coming through the window. Sitting outside on a warm evening. Looking at the stars. Lighting a candle when the day is finally over.
They're easy to overlook. We're often too busy thinking about what comes next.
But sometimes, these small moments are the ones that make life feel like life.
That's where From Yaya began.
I'm Yaya, a Brighton-based artist and maker. I created From Yaya as a way of turning some of those moments into something you can hold, light and experience.
Our candles are inspired by the feelings attached to everyday life. The quiet, the joyful, the comforting, the energising. Each one is designed to help create a moment worth noticing.
But From Yaya is about more than candles.
We want to give you something.
There is already enough in the world competing for your attention, your time and your money.
We want From Yaya to be different.
We believe that every time you hear from us, open something from us or spend time with us, you should get something worthwhile in return.
That's why we make Yaya's Journal free.
It's why we share ideas, discoveries, recommendations and things we're excited about.
It's why we care about the experience of opening one of our candles just as much as the candle itself.
And it's why we're always looking for ways to give you a little more than you expected.
Because we don't want From Yaya to be another thing asking something from you.
We want it to be something that gives something back.
Made slowly. Made thoughtfully. Made from Yaya.
Everything we make begins with the same idea: that ordinary moments can be extraordinary when we actually stop to experience them.
Our candles bring together scent, colour, craft and design to create something that belongs in those moments.
They're made by hand in Brighton using natural soy wax and pure essential oils, with thought given to every part of the experience.
From the candle itself to the things we share with you, we want From Yaya to feel personal, generous and full of life.
Because sometimes, you don't need more.
You just need to notice what's already there.
From,
Yaya
